Q:  How much does a typical lab cost?

 A:  The short answer is it depends on number of students per specimen, duration, location, and many other things that are tailored to the class.  The simplest labs might start around $25 per student.  Contact us to get a prompt quote and determine what might work best for you.

 Q:  What size group works best?

 A:  For labs, groups range in size from 4 or 5 up to about 15 students.  For lectures, group sizes much larger can work well depending on the audience.

 Q:  How long does a typical lab last?

 A:  Most labs last one and a half to two hours.  I am always available to answer questions at the end of any presentation.  I require at least 60 minutes prior to the start time to get set up and 60 minutes to clean up at the end of class.

 Q:  Are you available outside the Chicago area?

 A:  I travel all over the country for lectures, but am only able to travel about 200 miles from Chicago for labs due to the large amount of equipment and materials I must bring.  If you would like me to help you set up your own lab and get you started, then travel across the country is a possibility.

 Q:  Can you teach on material specific to my curriculum or textbook?

 A:  Absolutely, as long as it is related to the biological sciences, medicine, forensics, or any of the other topics outlined in the suggested presentation topics.

 Q:  What age works best for the labs?

 A:  We really mean tailored learning for ALL ages.  Most 5 year olds will do just fine in our Yuck 101 class where we explore all kinds of gross stuff.  Slide viewers can be used for younger children who cannot handle a microscope.  I can perform dissections and involve younger children as each area of the specimen is explored.  The possibilities are endless.

 Q:  How much time in advance should I schedule my event?

 A:  Usually 1 to 2 months to guarantee availability.  However, I do many events that are open to the public that may meet your needs.  Check out scheduled events to get an idea of current availability.

 Q:  Do you carry liability insurance?

 A:  Yes, I carry xxxxxx amount of personal liability and can make a copy of the insurance record available at the time of booking.
